Then out of nowhere the delivery person said, actually we only have 1 hour. Huh? I was confused since, didn't we already spent like 10 minutes talking about the hourly rate, and going over what needed to be done?
I simply repeated that I had confirmed with her that the job might take 1.5 hours as we talked many times about this. However, I also told her that if it could take less time, that would be good. She then said, "you'll have to call back on Monday". Then she actually hung up on while I was asking her to reschedule.
The movers are professional and courteous, but the company's time management skill is subar. Arranging delivery takes days, and they showed up late even though they had a 4 hour delivery window.
Previous Post from original 1 Star Review: After actually waiting 6+ weeks for 2 appliances from I ordered from Sears Outlet, a delivery was scheduled for today July, 28, 2017. I confirmed the delivery time yesterday, and confirmed with the scheduler over the phone the amount of time needed for delivery, and moving appliances. She told me hiring them for 1.5 hours would not be an issue, and she would double check and contact me if there was an issue. I also agreed to pay their hourly rate for up to two hours of services at $95 per hour.
Our desk has been sitting in their warehouse for weeks and their phone number doesn't answer. Don't use them. Ever.
We went from scheduling and confirming this delivery and moving appliances weeks ago, and double confirming over the phone with the scheduler yesterday to this? They are still holding my appliances (refrigerator and stove), now going on week number 7 this Monday.
I'm left wondering what to do now, and have no reassurance and little trust for this company after trying to call back many times. I ended up having to leave voicemails instead. Now, after trying to figure out what the heck happened, I am astonished at the company's lack of care. Instead of resolving this situation, and rescheduling I was treated like this was my fault, for simply wanting to make sure there was enough time to do the delivery and moving required. After this experience, I especially do not want to order appliances from Sears Outlet again, since they use this company to deliver to this area.
One thing I regret while the delivery people were here is saying out-loud to my wife out of complete frustration, that they were "jokers". I do apologize for saying that. This whole mess was not entirely their fault, but seems also a company wide issue.
I ordered mattresses and this company was supposed to deliver them. They've had the mattresses for WEEKS and have never delivered them. When I call to get a delivery date, I'm told "I need to talk to so-and-so in the warehouse, I'll call you back." Only, they NEVER call me back. After a month of waiting, I decided to just cancel my order and get my money back.
When they arrived, they had the itinerary of what needed to be done, but wanted to charge $95 per hour for 2 full hours, even if the time needed was only 1.5 hours. I agreed to paying for 2 full hours, and using only 1.5 hours (or maybe even less) being in such a tough position. However, i did mention that if I was paying for 2 full hours we could not just take our time with everything. I wanted to see a positive side of things since I was going to pay more than necessary. Since they were already here with my appliances, I also had waited long enough for these to finally arrive. I also had other appliances needed to be moved a.s.a.p. by their company, as agreed.
UPDATE: I wanted to say I appreciated the owner being available to talk by phone. After some miscommunications with the staff, the delivery team did a great job. I decided to change my review from 1 star to a 4 star review.
When I called the scheduler after this mess, she didn't acknowledge the agreement we had regarding the time needed for delivery and moving appliances. Instead, she accused me of telling their driver that I was going to "keep the drivers there" for 2 hours for no reason? I told her I never told the driver that, and why would I want to do that anyway?
With the delivery person saying they had only 1 hour, I asked what would happen if it takes more than an hour? He just repeated "we only have 1 hour". I then said once again, but what if it takes more than an hour to move appliances to the other house, etc? Concerned, I said "are you just going to leave my stuff in the middle of the street" if takes longer than an hour? He just repeated, "we only have an hour". This made the situation very uncomfortable.
